Thanks for Picking Up My Poop

By Mark Rogers

Adorable dogs paired with the hilarious, heartwarming reasons they love their weird-looking, fur-less human companions
People will do anything for their animal companions. And why not? They are the unconditional friend, faithful companion, and furry joy that brightens every day. Any dog-lover will proudly proclaim how much of their happiness they owe to little Spot, Rex, or Princess. But what is it that these canine companions feel about their bipedal roommates? Featuring 50 full-color, awwwwwwww-inspiring pictures of precious pooches, Thanks for Picking Up My Poop bridges our mammalian language barriers to present the humorous, heartfelt, and downright wonderful reasons that furry friends stay so dedicated to their human hosts. Each page presents a poem, story, or smidgen of gratitude that those cute canines would say if they only could. Best of all, pet photographer Mark Rogers perfectly encapsulates each animal’s words of gratitude with adorable original photography. The full-color, paper-over-board collection makes for the perfect gift for any dog lover.

Mark Rogers

Mark Rogers is a San Francisco pet photographer with the uncanny ability to capture the personalities and quirks of his animal subjects. He finds cats particularly fascinating and is pretty sure the internet was invented to distribute amusing videos of them. Mark’s eye-catching, often humorous images of felines, dogs, and other animals appear often in national advertising campaigns and print publications. He’s also previously published several other books, including Thanks for Picking Up My Poop: Everyday Gratitude from Dogs and Canines of San Francisco.

Consistently selected as one of the Bay Area’s top pet photographers, Mark is highly sought by private clients to work with their pets and donates much of his time to animal welfare and rescue groups.

Mark lives with his wife, Anne, his dog, Leeloo, and their cat, the diabolical Jimmy Chew (AKA James), who knows how to annoy each of them and does so frequently. James has reviewed and repeatedly edited sections of this book while sitting on Mark’s keyboard.
