Norman J Fried is a clinical psychologist specializing in trauma, chronic illness, and bereavement in children and families. He has taught in the medical school of New York University and was a Fellow in Clinical and Pediatric Psychology at Harvard Medical School. He is also an Adjunct Instructor of Clinical Pastoral Counseling at the Jewish Theological Seminary at Columbia University. Dr. Fried is the author of four other books includingThe Angel Letters: Lessons that Dying Can Teach Us About Living. He is also Co-Producer of the acclaimed documentary entitled “If You Tell Anyone: Survivors of Child Abuse Speak Out.” He lives in New York with his wife and three sons.
